We are a mother and daughter-in-love team. Having sons, the wait for daughter-in-loves seemed to be endless. But I think I will hit the jackpot soon. Growing up, I dreamt of living on a farm/ranch and thought it would have to be a miracle as I grew up in big cities on the east coast. But here I am today, living on the farm more years than not in my life.

But why a farm? I longed for a place to have more pets than one could count. I begged for years for a dog and one pet was the limit. I brought home every animal I could find, stray or not. Caring for their every need until I found the owners.

So far, we have had fish, tadpoles/frogs, birds, dogs, cats, horses, worms, ants, chickens, sheep, calves and I even imprinted an emu!

Next to family, pets and the farm, our love for Chinook is great. My inspiration for this business is our wonderful friend Carla Peck. When I would take our dogs there for grooming or boarding, they would run to her calling of “Sugie, sugie, sugie!”. Made my heart full to know my pets loved her so much. We need to serve our community, each other and our pets much like Carla.

All Dogs that receive any type of our services are required to provide a copy of current vaccinations, including Bordetella, Parvo, Distemper, Parainfluenza, and Rabies, The Owner must provide a copy of the current vaccinations and understands that if proof is not provide proof of vaccinations Prairie Paws Resort reserves the right to refuse service.
